takes a deep dive into Gloria’s psyche as they embark on an unexpected pregnancy journey and grapple with the tensions involved in staying true to themself along the way. Gloria traverses through the rollercoaster of emotions that life precedes, and experiences both the consequences and blessings of their decisions. As they learn to indulge intimacy through kinship and chosen family, what is the cost of embracing the concept of Eros in all its forms?

Eros, the primordial Greek god of love and desire, born of Chaos, symbolizes the beauty in the paradox that is the human condition. Often depicted as cupid, Eros’ lore reminds us that we are shaped by our connections to one another… though that same attachment can be the impetus for destruction.

FURY: Scene Teaser

FURY is a scene from Eros: Fragile as it is Free, which takes a peek into Gloria’s inner world where emotions in extreme are often forced to hide. Gloria reckons with anger, grief, and rage, as well as the isolation that these taboo emotions require. FURY lays claim to the necessary darkness that exists as catalyst to growth and transformation.

Meet the Team

  • Caitlin Green

    DIRECTOR

    is a dancer, choreographer, writer, and mother making their directorial debut with Eros: Fragile as it is Free. Caitlin’s background in dance/movement psychotherapy paired with their passion for visceral storytelling equips them with an eye for conveying a compelling narrative that considers social impact and honors imagination throughout their creative process.

    Caitlin’s choreography has been featured in works with Philadelphia Dance Projects, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Philly Fringe Festival, The Painted Bride, and a Regothereshego music video. Caitlin has been teaching youth performance and dance theater since 2018. Their work has been supported by Philadelphia Dance Projects, the People’s Media Fund, the Painted Bride Art Center, Bartol/Marazzo Family Foundation, the Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency, and Extended Play.

  • Annette Burgess

    PRODUCER

    Annette Burgess is a freelance producer, director, and writer with over 10 years of experience in film, television, and brand campaigns. She is a former host and producer at RVN TV, where she wrote and developed formats for "Today’s Talk 65" and "Morning Coffee"

    Her recent projects include serving as the Assistant Director for the pilot episode of "You Were Dead Yesterday," working as the Unit Production Manager for the short film "KICK," and Line Producing the award-winning short film "Frat Pie." Annette also co-wrote and directed a web series titled "Stages." Additionally, she is a co-founder of GurlCo Media and is dedicated to telling impactful stories that span from 6 seconds to 120 minutes.

  • Jalen Ramseur-Williams

    DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

    is a freelance cinematographer based in Philadelphia, bringing a raw naturalistic, and cinematic vision to films. Jalen graduated from Temple University where he majored in Film and Media Arts with a concentration in cinematography. A continuous learner, with a passion to create, collaborate and provide thought-provoking films now and in the future.

  • Sarah Krusen

    EDITOR

    Sarah Krusen is a US-based freelance film and video editor with over 10 years of post-production experience. She currently freelances for various creative agencies, production companies and post houses throughout the US. Her portfolio includes projects for ESPN, TIME Magazine, Moncler, VICE, Columbia Sportswear, NASA, and Citibank, with films screening at SXSW, American Black Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Film Festival. She was accepted into the 2024 Unlock Her Potential Mentorship Program for Women of Color and is mentored by Oscar nominated editor Lisa Churgin. Her debut short documentary, SOFT, examines rest as a radical act of resistance and healing for Black women.
